The French Alliance in Gitega was inaugurated in April 2010. It is a non-profit Burundian association managed by an executive committee. Located in a large house in Musinzira, between Boma and the Circle, it offers its members, who are already about 500, French courses, cultural activities and a library (4 000 books: encyclopedias, youth). It has a TV 5 Monde room dedicated to multimedia and computers connected to the Internet. It was also the French Alliance that recently took over the management of the Circle, making this historic venue a bar-restaurant of information and culture.
