Pope John Paul II's visit to Burundi in 1990 was one of the major events in the country's Catholic life in the twentieth century. Housed in the archdiocese of the Archdiocese, the masses gathered in Gitega tens of thousands of passionate followers. After its passage, a large seminar was built, which bears its name. Apart from religious training, demonstrations are regularly organized around faith, but also art, music and dance. It also has a large library.
