THE GERMAN BOMA

This fortin, much better preserved than the fault of the Germans in Nyakazu even though its crenellated walls are dirty over time, was built in 1912. Its construction was to be made to the resident von Langenn, who decided to set up his administration to better control the mwami (then in Muramvya) and the leaders of Burundi, and to develop the channels of communication with the eastern part of the territories under German control (Deutsch Bal Afrika). In principle, you can't visit it, but sometimes the door left open opens up the inside. Projects to transform into a museum exist, for the time being not fulfilled.
