MPARAMBO'S FARM

Specialized in cattle breeding and plant research, the government farm in Mparambo is a Station station (Agronomique Institute of Burundi). We can visit it without too many difficulties, and let us explain a lot of interesting things about the introductions of bovine species and their amazing results (French cows who become blind in tropical latitudes for example), or on agricultural crops in the Rusizi lowlands. You get there, a few hundred meters before you arrive at Rugombo, one road or the other on the left of the RN 5 (west). These trails cross cultivated lands where the botanical variety is striking. Just steps from the great Rusizi and the Congo, this little detour in the tight plantations of the plain is very informative and pleasant.
