KIGOZI GUEST HOUSE

This welcoming house is a small gem on the banks of Lake Cohoha. Held by the sisters of the Bene Tereziya community (also present in Banga and Gitega), it is a good reputation that keeps improving and expanding. The main house, very large with an interior patio, houses dormitories as well as a room with a small bar and a few tables. Commander (pineapple alcohol, specialty of the great seminary of Burasira) can be ordered. From the steps of the house, a large walkway, lined with frangipani and flowers of all kinds, serves the other buildings (bungalows of good taste and paillottes) and leads to the beach with its accostées canoes. In 2012, the sisters built a terrace on top of the beach, which is now the bar-restaurant. It is very pleasant in the morning to take a coffee while watching the birds. Unfortunately, it hides a little view of the lake when you're at the top of the aisle. The sisters, very helpful and full of humour, can arrange for visitors of Intore dancers and boat tours.
