NATIONAL GALLERY
Gallery presenting exhibitions of contemporary paintings and sculptures by local and international artists in Kingston.
The statue of Bob Marley by Christopher Gonzales welcomes the visitor, booed and then replaced because he was represented naked. The exhibition presents contemporary paintings and sculptures by local artists, but also Cuban, American and Australian, from different schools, from surrealism to naive art. The section dedicated to the sculptures of Edna Manley, after whom the art school is named, is particularly noteworthy. Reconstructions of the streets of the ghetto allow us to appreciate their artistic expression.
