NATIONAL GALLERY
Gallery presenting exhibitions of contemporary paintings and sculptures by local and international artists in Kingston.
Visitors are greeted by a statue of Bob Marley by Christopher Gonzales, booed off and then replaced because he was originally depicted naked. The exhibition features contemporary paintings and sculptures by Jamaican artists of great interest for understanding life on the island over the centuries, but also international artists, and from different schools, from surrealism to naive art. There are several galleries within the museum, including one dedicated to the sculptures of Edna Manley.
