A museum with a fine collection of objects tracing Jamaica's 2,000-year history.
The collection is exceptional: 19,000 objects tracing Jamaica's 2,000-year history, of which only a few pieces are actually on display. The scenography is a bit dated but one can admire the remains of the Taïnos (Arawaks) and African populations, which are in the majority. One can also discover the fascinating history of the city of Port Royal, which was destroyed in the earthquake of 1692 and was found after archaeological excavations.
