Historic cathedral, one of the oldest in the West Indies, with artefacts dating back to Spanish colonization.
Under a more modest exterior than its title, one of the oldest cathedrals in the West Indies, built in 1714, hides a beautiful interior, the wooden pews smell of encaustic, with objects dating from the Spanish colonization. Built on the ruins of a Spanish church which were used for its construction in 1901, it is sheltered under a wooden roof. Listed as a Jamaican National Heritage Site, it has a beautiful old pavement and colorful stained glass windows. Solid wooden columns support the second level gallery, where the 1849 organ is splendid.
