CHRIST CHURCH
Red-brick church with copper lectern, located in the heart of Port Antonio's historic downtown area.
In the heart of Port Antonio's historic downtown, the red brick church still in use was built in 1840 and restored early last century. Its architecture contrasts with the rest of the modern city, which is made of brick and has white accented openings. A brass lectern donated by Captain Baker, founder of the Boston Fruit Company, is present inside. Damaged after a tornado in 1903, it was completely restored in 1911.
