Legend has it that the roof collapsed the day the bride walked through its doors. But the building would have cracked and collapsed little by little: the salt oxidized the metal structures. Long squatted by rastas, the ruins are often the setting for movies or commercials, including the crime thriller The Mighty Quinn, starring Denzel Washington. At the end, the Folly lighthouse of 1888.
