The original structure dates back to the late 18th century. It is always lively, but even more so on Friday and Saturday mornings. In addition to the colorful vegetables and fruits, the meat and fish market, there are also stalls selling clothes, jewelry, a selection of Jamaican handicrafts (woodwork, paintings...) and delicious street food.
