Sugarpot Ruins Beach
A very pretty beach with a tranquil local ambience, free of charge and with a good restaurant - a great place to visit in Ocho Rios.
This pretty, hidden beach is lined with vegetation and is free of charge. It's located at the end of a winding road (turn off at Cool Oasis Gaz Station) next to the Rio Nuevo, but it's well worth the detour. Here, in addition to fine sand, you'll find plenty of pebbles, and even ruins in which a restaurant has been set up. We come here to enjoy the local chill atmosphere of a Jamaican seaside, and devour a plate in this very good restaurant, fresh fish and freshly caught seafood, including a deliciousconch curry or crab.
