Every two years, this world-renowned event is held for three days at Treasure Beach, where fans of literature from the island and elsewhere come to find a good book or to meet anonymous or famous writers. People come here in search of a good book or to meet anonymous or famous writers. The festival was founded in 2001 by three Jamaicans, novelist Colin Channer, poet Kwame Dawes and producer Justine Henzell. There are also Jamaican food stalls to combine literature and gastronomy.
