The train is a good way to get to and from Bucharest. The Gare du Nord(gara de Nord) is well connected to the capital's public transport network. There are numerous small shops, cafés and fast-food outlets, as well as vending machines, newsagents and a baggagedepot (depozitare bagaje). Inter Regio (IR) trains are the fastest. Bucharest is also connected to several foreign cities: Budapest, but also Vienna and Chișinău, as well as Thessalonica, Sofia and Istanbul in summer.
