This hostel (hanul) was built in 1808 by a wealthy Armenian, nicknamed Manuc Bey. It was home to merchants and their carts loaded with goods, hence its large enclosed courtyard, reminiscent of the caravanserais of the Middle East. The architecture is strongly inspired by the traditional Romanian style, with its wooden balconies and arcades. Renovated in recent years, this historic building has become a restaurant. It is pleasant to have a drink in the inner courtyard, shaded and sheltered from traffic.

Un lieu très agréable pour manger ou boire un verre dans la cour intérieure. L'architecture y est atypique et vaut largement qu'on s'y arrête. Prix raisonnables mais service un peu long.
