The St. Nicholas Student Church(biserica studenților Sfântul Nicolae) was built between 1905 and 1909, on the initiative of the Russian ambassador of the time. With its golden bulbs, it looks like a Russian Orthodox church. Seen from Piața Universității, it is very photogenic. Its iconostasis, the work of Moscow artists, was modelled on that of the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in the Kremlin. Today, it serves as a chapel for students.
