GARE FERROVIAIRE
The railway station is located side by side with the bus station, close to the centre, which is rare in large Romanian cities; therefore. Trolleybus 1 and 2 connect it to the center, but it's easier on foot, taking Strada General Magheru across the way. It leads you directly to Piaţa Mare (500 meters). At the station you will find a 24-hour deposit and a telephone card dispenser, sometimes very useful.
The train is, curiously, much less convenient than the bus to win or leave Sibiu. Buses are more frequent and faster. Trains are still available for Alba Iulia (5 per day), Bucharest (3 times a day), Braşov (10 per day, 3 hours of travel), Cluj (2 per day, 3 hours a day), Deva (5 per day, 2 hours a day), Făgăraş (20 per day), Timişoara (2 per day, 5 hours of travel), Sighişoara (more than 10 per day but with changes by Mediaş or Copşa Mică), Sinaia (2 per day, 3 hours a day), Craiova (3 per day, route between 4 and 7 hours) but also Valecea Valecea. Trains for Budapest.
