This is certainly one of the city's finest guesthouses, housed in a magnificent medieval house dating from 1797, adjacent to the Tailors' Tower. The interiors are decorated with traditional Saxon artefacts, furnished with beautiful solid wood furniture and dotted with exposed stone walls. The place is clean, ideally located and welcoming, not to mention the gargantuan breakfast, prepared with farm produce from the surrounding countryside. Please note that the guesthouse is often overbooked, so book well in advance.
