Located on a hill in the north-west of the city, it is the outdoor part of the ethnographic museum in Transylvania. Opened in 1929, this village museum was the first of its kind in the country. It has more than 160 pieces (buildings, tools, folklore of the region) in a nice framework. The most remarkable are the three wooden churches, one of them (Biserica din Cizer) built in 1773 by Vasile Ursu Nicola, says Horea, the future leader of the peasant revolution of 1784.
