Traian-Vuia International Airport is the third largest in the country in terms of traffic, with 1.5 million passengers per year. It serves many European cities, in particular via the low-cost airline Wizz Air, which operates flights to Paris-Beauvais, Brussels-Charleroi, London-Luton, Madrid, Rome and several other Italian, Spanish and German cities. Other companies operate at Timișoara airport, such as Ryanair (to Bucharest and Bergamo), Lufthansa and Eurowings. The national airline Tarom operates flights to Iași and Bucharest.
