The Nera-Beușnița Gorge National Park is located in southwest Romania, in the administrative territory of the județ de Caraș-Severin, in the historic region of Banat. This 36,758-hectare national park was declared a protected natural area in 2000. It is home to a wide variety of mountain landscapes, such as peaks, cirques, crevasses, caves, valleys, canyons and waterfalls. The Nera River and its tributaries flow through the park, forming the famous Nera Gorge. The park's fauna is equally rich, with the presence of species such as the brown bear, red deer, gray wolf, lynx, golden eagle and common kingfisher. Visitors can enjoy spectacular scenery and discover exceptional biodiversity.
