MUSEUM OF WOOD ART
Housed in a 1904 building that served as the town hall and the prefecture, the Museum of Wood Art (Muzeul artă lemnului) presents an impressive collection, unique in Romania: tools, weapons, cutlery, carts, musical instruments, doors, superb wedding chests... Outside, you can see two traditional Houtouls houses, one from the 17th and the other from the 18th century. The museum was closed at the time of our visit, the object of a vast rehabilitation and modernization project. It's due to reopen by the end of 2020.
