A must-visit restaurant in downtown Lisieux, offering a gourmet lunch menu.

Recognisable by its red half-timbering, this popular restaurant has become so popular that the racecourse has appointed it official caterer for its restaurant. The bright dining room is beautifully decorated with beams. At lunchtime, the menu is more than adequate. As the day progresses, the menu changes: for us, it was an apple, andouille and camembert millefeuille, followed by red mullet fillets, saffron cream, leeks and a fine chocolate moelleux. The team is committed and supportive of Julien Étienne, the chef who holds high the banner of taste and respect for the product.

Là par hasard, il y avait beaucoup de monde au service de midi. Pas mauvais du tout si ce n'est une assez longue attente pour au final une viande froide. N'ayant pas voulu réclamé sur l'instant tant tout le monde courait. Quand je l'ai fait remarquer au serveur loin de s'en moquer il a pris ma remarque très au sérieux sans essayer de trouver de faux-fuyants . Quand je suis sorti tout l'équipe semblait au courant. Bravo, une erreur peut arriver (c'est humain) mais sur ce point ils ont vraiment du savoir-faire. Pas fâché je n'hésiterai pas une seconde à y retourner.
