FERDINAND LÉGER MUSEUM
The Parisian art dealer Jean du Chatenet, who bought the farm of the painter Fernand Léger in Lisores, opened a museum dedicated to the works of the master of cubism in 2019. In this farm, called La Bougonnière, the artist liked to receive his friends, including Blaise Cendrars, Jean Cocteau, Le Corbusier or the Fratellini brothers. The place presents works on paper by Fernand Léger, oils by Nadia, his wife and muse, photos, as well as paintings previously exhibited in Granville, Saint-Lô and Pont-L'Evêque. Incontournables : the large gable mosaic, La Fermière et sa vache, in homage to the painter's mother, as well as the chapel, which has regained its stained glass windows for the occasion. If you like Léger's painting, you have to come here!
