It is one of the oldest monuments of Muslim architecture in Romania. This beautiful mosque was built at the very beginning of the 17th century by General Ali Gazi, when Dobrogea was under Ottoman administration. Moreover, the mausoleum that stands in the courtyard houses the bones of the general. The building was beautifully renovated at the end of the 1990s. Its minaret is more than 20 m high. Inside, you can admire beautiful wooden ornaments and old Persian carpets.
