SCANDLINES
Scandlines takes passengers between Denmark and Germany around 45 times a day, from Puttgarden to Rødby (departures every 30 minutes, 45-minute journey, the easiest way to travel) and from Rostock to Gedser (more than 10 departures a day, 2-hour journey). It's best to book in advance, especially in summer (online booking possible, which is cheaper than by phone or at the ticket office). If you don't want to take the ferry, you can go via Jutland, but this takes considerably longer. This option allows you to extend your stay.
