GAVNØ CASTLE (GAVNØ SLOT)
Superb rococo château belonging to the owner of the private music radio station The Voice to find a collection of paintings.
A pirate hideout in the 13th century, this isolated manor was transformed into a convent by Queen MargretheI at the end of the 16th century, and then into a superb yellow and white rococo castle in the 18th century, owned by the owner of the private music radio station The Voice, number 1 in Copenhagen. Part of the huge collection of paintings was sold to pay the inheritance tax, but many of them remain in the part of the castle open to the public.
