TORVET

Torvet is a wide, cobbled street lined with beautiful houses with many colorful facades. As you stroll along, look out for a picturesque detail that's not so common these days. Some houses still feature gadespejl: double mirrors installed in the windows (a kind of rear-view mirror that could also be seen on the doors of Parisian concierges' dressing rooms), which were very useful for observing what was going on in the street without having to go outside, and above all without being seen, sheltered behind your curtains... in total discretion.
