CATHEDRAL (DOMKIRKE)
Lutheran cathedral occupying the former abbey church built in the early century, featuring a remarkable pulpit and altar.
This Lutheran cathedral, built entirely of red brick, occupies the former abbey church built at the beginning of the 15th century. Entirely renovated in 1860, it has kept the original plan. Only the whitewashed walls express Protestant sobriety. Very beautiful Gothic vault and traces of frescoes above the organ. In the crypt lies the daughter of King Christian IV, Leonora Christina, who lived here from 1685 to 1698. A commemorative plaque in her honour can be seen on the west gable of the cathedral. Remarkable pulpit and altar.
