HORNE ROUND CHURCH (HORNE RUNDKIRKE)
Medieval round church built in the century in Fåborg, with a Renaissance bell tower housing model ships.
Stop in the small village of Horne dominated by its limed church with rounded sides: it is a medieval round church (the only one in Fionie). Built in the 12th century, it was enlarged on both sides by a gothic extension, then flanked by a Renaissance bell tower. The interior remains simple with some models of boats suspended in the air. Four impressive columns support a lodge reserved for members of the local nobility to attend the service.
