CLOCK TOWER (KLOKKETÅRN)
A tower dating from the century, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the town and the islands of Bjorno, Avernako and Lyo from its summit.
The clock tower of Fåborg is the only remnant of the church Skt Nicolai, dating from the 12th century and destroyed in 1600. It was restored in 2011-2013 and covered with its beautiful yellow color. During the summer months, from Thursday to Sunday, the city guards post themselves in front of the tower (9pm), and offer you to follow them through the cobbled streets of the old town. From the top of the tower, there is a beautiful view of the city and the islands of Bjorno, Avernako and Lyo.
