FAABORG MUSEUM (MUSEUM OF THE PAINTERS OF FIONIA)
A classical temple-like museum in Fåborg, housing works by painters Syberg, Peter Hansen and Johannes Larsen.
This museum, which celebrated its centenary in 2010, was born thanks to the industrialist Mads Rasmussen. In fact, his masterly black granite statue, made by sculptor Kai Nielsen in 1912-1914, welcomes you in the first room. With its classical temple look, its string of rooms with colored walls, the building is rather original and welcoming. It houses the works of painters Syberg, Peter Hansen or Johannes Larsen. All of Fionie can be found in their paintings.
