CHURCH OF MARSTAL (MARSTAL KIRKE)
Church dedicated to sailors, featuring seven suspended ship models and a surprising wooden mezzanine.
You must enter this church dating from 1738, dedicated to sailors. Inside: you will discover seven suspended models of ships (ex-votos), as well as a surprising wooden mezzanine which allowed the sailors attending the services to feel like they were on a ship. In fact, it was the sailors of Marstal who served as models for the local artist who painted the Apostles surrounding Christ on the triptych behind the altar.
