BOTTLED SHIP MUSEUM
A small museum housing an astonishing lifelong collection: that of Flaske-Peter, a model-boat enthusiast.
A curious little museum, to say the least. Located in the old village hospice dating from 1835, it contains the amazing collection of a lifetime: that of Flaske-Peter, known as Pierre-Bouteille, whose real name was Peter Jacobsen. The latter had a passion: model ships. He made about fifty of them. But his patience and his taste for a challenge meant that he also integrated them into glass bottles. More than 1,700 ships in bottles, 700 of which are exhibited here.
