KØN - GENDER MUSEUM
A rare museum dedicated to women, featuring an exhibition on the role of women in the family, the couple and society.
Formerly the town hall, this is one of the few museums in the world devoted to women and, above all, to the place of women from the Middle Ages to the emancipation of women in the 20th century. The role of women in the family, in couples and in society is explored. All subjects are explored: education, sexuality, the body and gender, using a variety of temporary and permanent exhibits. Part of the exhibition is on the second floor, in the former town council chamber, as it was in 1909, the year women gained the right to vote.
