MINDEPARKEN
This site, which is both a memorial and a park, enjoys a pleasant setting with a view over Aarhus Bay.
Mindeparken is a place of remembrance and a park. In front of you, a wall made of limestone brought back from Euville in the Meuse (one of Lorraine's battlefields in 14-18) on which are engraved the names of the 4,144 Danish soldiers killed in the Great War. Allegorical reliefs pay tribute to the fallen. Despite the charged atmosphere of commemoration, the setting is most pleasant and the view over Aarhus Bay splendid. An ideal place to spend an afternoon in the sun... and remember those who made European history.
