A small underground museum showing the foundations of the Viking rampart, a model of the Viking village of Aarhus, a rune stone...
Access from St. Clement's Square. A very small but interesting museum for understanding the history of Aarhus. Located beneath a contemporary building, on the site of archaeological excavations carried out in the 1960s that uncovered the remains of the Viking city. On display are the foundations of the Viking rampart, a model of the village and a number of everyday objects, including a rune stone. It offers an intimate alternative to the main museum, Moesgaard.
