A monastery built in 1431, located in Aalborg, currently houses twenty-five homes for the elderly.
Built in 1431, this monastery had two parts where for more than a century, monks and nuns took in the poor and the sick with the blessing of the pope. When the Reformation was imposed throughout the kingdom, it became secular but continued to welcome the poor. Today, the cloister houses twenty-five homes for the elderly. As for the old lands, the bourgeoisie at the beginning of the 20th century rushed to buy them to build Belle Époque villas.
