SAINT-BUDOLPHE CATHEDRAL
Lutheran cathedral in Aalborg, dedicated to Botwulf, the English patron saint of farmers and sailors.
This Lutheran cathedral was built on an old Romanesque church (1132) under the direction of Bishop Eskil of Viborg. In the crypt, some stones testify to this. Rebuilt in the 14th century, it is dedicated to the English patron saint of farmers and sailors, Botwulf. Beautifully coloured interior (pulpit and altarpiece magnificently worked, baroque organ). The bell tower dates from the 18th century. All around, a magnificent wooded park surrounded by beds of plants and flowers.
