NORDSØEN OCEANARIUM
This aquarium, with 4.5 million liters of seawater and a vast area dedicated to seals, claims to be the largest in Europe
If you want to see seals in Denmark, this is your chance. It is rare to see them on the Limfjord, but the ones in Hirtshals come from there. They are fed every day at 11am and 3pm. The place is constantly expanding: an aquarium with 4.5 million litres of sea water and a large area dedicated to seals. The museum claims to be the largest aquarium in Europe. In February 2016, a 17.4-metre fin whale was found dead on Blokhus beach. Now you can get up close to its skeleton at the North Sea Oceanarium.
