MONASTERY AND CHURCH OF SAINT-CATHERINE
This convent, which bears witness to Ribe's Catholic splendor, served as a hospital and insane asylum from the to the century.
Another great witness of the Catholic splendour of Ribe, before the Reformation of 1536. The church dates from the 15th century (the south wall is the remnant of the one built in 1228 by the Dominicans) and you have to walk through it to get to the cloister, whose galleries are topped by two floors. This Dominican convent, the best preserved in Scandinavia, was used as a hospital and insane asylum from the 16th to the 19th century before becoming a retirement home.

Les intérieurs des églises danoises sont souvent très ornées : tombeaux, peintures, stèles.....il convient donc d'y entrer.
Il faut aussi rappeler que Ribe est la plus ancienne ville danoise.
