Watch a reconstruction of the Viking city, take part in archery and admire falconry demonstrations.

Two kilometres south of Ribe, the Viking town has been reconstructed with eight houses, a market place dating from 720 and a farmhouse from 980, where craftsmen work with the same means as in those days. Some of them live here and sell their products in stalls. You can visit this funny camp, learn how to make bread (among other activities) or to shoot with a bow, or admire the falconry demonstrations (at 12:30, 1:00 and 3:00 pm depending on the period). Great Viking market every year on the first weekend of May.

Originality
Visite très sympa plongé 200 ans en arrière chez les vikings. Employé en costume traditionnel, en train de faire des activités de l'époque (cuisine, forgeron, spectacle,...). Les enfants peuvent aussi faire quelques activités, bataille viking, travailler le bois, faire une pièce de monnaie. Le déplacement vaut la peine. En plein air, il peut faire frais suivant la saison (octobre, 12 degrés, très venteux).
