MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS (KUNSTMUSEUM)
The Bikuben Paper Museum, housed in a large industrial building in Silkeborg, gives visitors an insight into paper manufacture.
Located in a sumptuous park, the Art Museum was inaugurated in 1906 in a first pavilion named Lunden. Since then, it has continued to grow with the 2006 extension "White Cube" of 400m2 and until 2017 with the Kvium Hall. The collections present a complete panorama of Danish art from the Golden Age with PC Skovgaard or J. Th. Lundbye, to contemporary Danish art with the acquisition of works by eminent 20th century artists such as LA Ring, JF Willumsen and Egill Jacobsen.
