Museum containing objects brought back from Africa, China, Surinam, Labrador and Greenland by Hussite missionaries.
The museum occupies thefirst andsecond floors of Søstrehuset. Opened at the beginning of the 19th century in the Widows' House, it houses objects brought back from Africa, China, Surinam, Labrador or Greenland by Hussite missionaries or Moravian Brothers. In the basement there is a special collection of more than 400 gramophones and old radio sets in working order, as well as twenty doll's houses. In addition, the museum also houses paintings by the artist Jeppe Madsen-Ohlsen and photographs by the photographer Ole Akhøj. Worth seeing: the choir room.
