BRUNDLUND CASTLE ART MUSEUM
Municipal museum housed in a small fortress, with permanent collections including paintings by the local artist.
Small fortress from the beginning of the 16th century, rebuilt several times: a mixture of Renaissance and Baroque style, on a small fortified island. It houses the municipal museum of fine arts. Among the permanent collections, an exceptional painting by Vilhelm Hammershøi Stue i Strandgade (1908) and paintings by the local child, Franciska Clausen, a major painter of the European avant-garde of the 1920s, who lived in Paris for many years. Outside there is a café (water mill).
