VIÐARLUNDIN PARK
Public garden with ponds, paths, flowers, shrubs and statue dedicated to the Féringiens who died in near the museum
A public garden with ponds for ducks, lit paths at night, flowers and shrubs, and a few trees that stand proudly, having resisted the bad weather. Some of their neighbors are still lying down, uprooted because of the terrible storm of December 1988 which destroyed two thirds of the trees in the park. Near the Museum of Modern Art, there is a huge statue in honor of all the Feringians who died during the Second World War and of the Unknown Sailor, celebrated every November1, for those who have died at sea over the centuries.
