SAINT-MAGNUS CATHEDRAL
Cathedral in Kirkjubøur featuring five Maltese crosses and numerous carved male heads.
In the country, it is also called "the wall": it seems that this stone building was left unfinished since the beginning of its construction by the catholic bishop Erlend, around the year 1300. Several enigmas remain around this ruin. Inside, you will see five Maltese crosses and several carved heads of men. At the top of the west window is the head of the Norwegian king Haakon V. At the back of the building, a stone slab with a calvary holds seven relics, including the only known relic of St. Thorlak of Iceland.
