KOLTURSGARÐUR
A jealously preserved, listed farmhouse in Koltur, made of stone and covered with grassy peat.
A listed farmhouse, made of stone and covered with grassy peat, and jealously preserved by the local Historical Monuments. In 1994, Bjørn and Lúkka decided to lease the island to the government, as the last inhabitants had deserted it several years earlier. They settled there and now exceptionally welcome visitors - an opportunity to taste the local ham, the famous mutton dried in the huts with louvers, on a slice of buttered bread. They can also accompany you on a walk to the bird cliffs.
