Legendary forty-metre-high giants in a truly grandiose setting at Eiði.
The legend tells that these two peaks of rock, isolated in the sea at the foot of the cliff, were once a fisherman and his wife (who was pregnant) from Iceland. Finding the Faroes very beautiful, they wanted to pull them towards Iceland, but after having tied the cliff, they were surprised by the night and changed into stone by the anger of the gods. These petrified giants stand about 40 meters high in a truly grandiose site.
