PARC DES MANGROVES DE JUBAIL

This jewel in Abu Dhabi's crown is home to winding walks that allow you to stroll through mangroves, discover a nature-rich side of Abu Dhabi and see an array of wildlife, from turtles to herons to gazelles and more. The Abu Dhabi Mangrove Walk at Jubail Mangrove Park opened in January 2020 and has quickly become one of the city's most popular attractions. Bird watchers, nature lovers and photographers will be in their element here. This unique, family-friendly park aims to increase awareness, appreciation and understanding of the important ecological function of the city's mangrove habitats, which not only support biodiversity and protect Abu Dhabi's coastline, but also help prevent climate change by sucking out carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases and trapping them in their flooded soils for millennia. This beautiful mangrove park in Jubail is the first self-sustaining educational, nature and recreation destination of its kind in the emirate. Thousands of visitors have explored the attraction since it opened its doors and it's easy to see why with beautiful scenery offering an escape from busy city life. There are three trails to walk, the longest covers a distance of 2 km and the shortest is 1 km. The trails allow you to walk through the mangroves, explore the natural landscape and observe the wildlife. You can also take a look at the marine life underwater. The walk is kid-friendly, with an educational area designed for them. In addition, this park is environmentally friendly. You'll find a café on site selling hot drinks and food, but no food or packaging will be allowed along the walkway to help preserve the local ecosystem. Finally, during high tide, you will be able to see a variety of wildlife, including fish and birds, but during low tide, there will be less water so marine life will be at a minimum.
